The Chamber of Hong Kong Computer Industry was established in 1998 and founded by 10 professionals in the industry at the beginning. Being a non-profit making professional body serving for the IT industry, CHKCI currently has more than 500 members companies ranging from retailers to manufacturers in IT industry, including global leaders and small start-ups.

The primary objective of CHKCI is to promote the uses of Information Technology in Hong Kong by accelerating the computer culture, education and business in the local society. Besides, the Chamber dedicates at facilitating the communications between the government and the industry as well as striving for the largest benefits for the industry. During these years, CHKCI has organized various activities like exchange events with the Mainland, Macau & HK, large-scale exhibitions—Hong Kong Computer Festival, Guinness World Record breaking event -- The Largest PCDIY Assembly, etc. By organizing these activities, numerous business opportunities could be created for the industry and IT could also be widely promoted in the society.

Ordinary Member: Guests in computer industry are all welcome to join CHKCI with the annual membership fee at HK$1,800


Member Rights

  1. Members can enjoy their voting right in the general meeting.
  2. Members have the election rights and the rights to be elected.
  3. Members can enjoy the privilege and discount for the functions organized or co-organized by the Chamber.
  4. Members are welcome to give comments to the conference affairs.


Member Duty

  1. To observe the constitution.
  2. To participate in the activities and express the opinions actively.
  3. To assist and promote each kind of activity organized by CHKCI.
  4. To pay the membership fee as scheduled.
  5. To encourage and introduce other companies to join CHKCI.
